With coronavirus hitting countries around the world, and now our mindset has almost been reset in bringing in new environmental changes to clean up our own habits and also the bringing of new clean air to cities and towns.

So I try out the Xiaomi Pro E scooter , but before we delve in lets look at the legal side of things. Through ancient law back in the 1800's its illegal to use a propelled vehicle on public highway without insurance, or mot so how do we get insurance for the E-scooter mmmmh well you can't! So what about a cycle track or pavement?

So back to the law it is illegal to use a motorised vehicle on a public pavement, so this is the sticking point with the E-scooter it date backs to ancient law, so this is a rough guide from myself on how I understand it, and you could end up with 6 points on your license and a good old hefty fine!

Why did I choose the Xiaomi Pro over the other models within its price range? I also looked at the Ninebot Es4 E scooter but to be honest what really persuaded me into the Xiaomi pro was it was inflatable tyres, that being the only real reason I wanted a smother ride.

Now I've gone through the basics its time to get my helmet on and try this out, the Xiaomi pro has three options eco, standard and sports mode. Eco mode giving you a top range of 26miles with only 5 hours to charge.

Now I've had the E-scooter for jus over a week and wow just wow I love it, its hassle free, its weighs in at 14kg it folds down flat, no emissions, and it is as green as I can go for transport and its ideal for getting about. These I feel are going to be like marmite your either going to love em or hate em!

With the sense of freedom this give you, its incredibly fun too with its 300 watt rated motor a top speed of 15.5mph and a distant of around about 27 miles and a weight limit of 100kg, but me being just a squeeze on the other side of the weight limit I'm still cruising at 25kph roughly 15.5 mph. The ride itself isn't bad its quite smooth, although while riding I try to avoid the never ending pot holes that are about. If this is your sort of toy that is green environmentally friendly for you, I don't think you will disappointed and in my opinion I believe that these will be legal in the UK very soon.

With popularity growing in the UK the government has brought trials into the UK a year forward so this June 2020 trials will be brought out in UK towns and cities but I do believe your town has to apply for this through the government. Could this be the new revelation that's needed in the towns and cities that are crying out for pollution free environments, for me I believe so and this could really be the answer.
